Disclaimer

Last updated: 11 May 2026

In a medical emergency, call 999 immediately or attend the nearest A&E. For urgent but non-emergency medical concerns, use NHS 111 or your local NHS urgent care service. Do not use Staff GP Access for emergencies.

1. Nature of the service

Staff GP Access is an employee wellbeing benefit that arranges access to GP support delivered by an independent, regulated third-party healthcare service provider. It is not private medical insurance, is not a substitute for the NHS, and is not designed for emergency or urgent care.

2. No guarantees of clinical outcomes

We do not promise, warrant or guarantee any particular clinical outcome. The Service does not guarantee a diagnosis, cure, recovery, reduction in employee absence, prescription, referral, or any specific treatment. All clinical decisions are made by qualified clinicians employed or contracted by the healthcare service provider, based on their professional judgement and applicable clinical guidelines.

3. Information on this website

Information on this website and within any medical information database accessed through the Service is provided for general information only. It is not medical advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Always seek the advice of a qualified clinician with any questions you may have about a medical condition.

4. Telephone and video consultations

The 24/7 telephone helpline and video consultations are subject to the healthcare service provider's terms of service, clinical governance procedures and capacity. Video consultations are available seven days a week between 8am and 10pm, excluding bank holidays. Service availability may be affected by demand, technical issues or events outside our reasonable control. There is no guaranteed response time, beyond what is committed by the healthcare service provider.

5. Private prescriptions and medication

Doctors may issue private electronic prescriptions only where clinically appropriate and lawful. Prescriptions are not guaranteed and may be declined where the clinician considers them inappropriate. Medication, pharmacy dispensing and delivery costs are separate and are the responsibility of the individual receiving the prescription, unless the healthcare service provider's terms state otherwise. Some medications (including controlled drugs) may not be prescribable through this Service.

6. Household access

Where the Service supports access for the employee and anyone living under the same roof, this is subject to the healthcare service provider's terms and any limits or eligibility rules they apply. Household access does not extend to people who do not live with the employee.

7. Not a replacement for the NHS

The Service does not replace your ongoing relationship with your NHS GP. Where relevant, employees are encouraged to share information from a Staff GP Access consultation with their NHS GP to support continuity of care.

8. Third-party links

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of any third-party site.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information on this website or from any clinical decision made by the healthcare service provider. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
